Privacy Policy

Last updated12.08.2026

This policy describes how personal data is handled in connection with the website wavestream.studio and with enquiries sent to us about the Wavestream Studio playout engine.

01

Controller

The controller of your personal data is Wavestream Patryk Szczepański, a sole proprietorship registered in Poland (CEIDG), ul. Willowa 6M/2, 05-090 Falenty Nowe, NIP 7162785420. Wavestream Studio is a commercial brand operated by the controller. Contact: contact@wavestream.pl

02

What we collect

  • Correspondence — if you email us about a demo or a deployment, we process the address you write from and whatever you choose to include: name, company, and details of your broadcast setup.
  • Server logs — the web server records the IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, response status and timestamp of each request. IP addresses are personal data under the GDPR and are treated as such.
  • Approximate location — an approximate country and city is derived from the IP address using an offline database on our own server. No query is sent to any external geolocation service.

Providing data is voluntary, but without an email address we cannot answer an enquiry.

03

Traffic statistics

We produce our own visit statistics from those server logs. The processing runs entirely on our own hardware, using software we wrote ourselves. We do not use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics product, we do not set analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. The result is an aggregate count of requests, countries, browsers and response codes.

04

Why we process it

  • To answer your enquiry and, if it goes further, to prepare and negotiate an agreement — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
  • To keep the site secure and available, to diagnose faults and to measure traffic to our own site — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in running and improving the service.
  • To meet accounting and tax obligations, where a commercial relationship follows — Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
05

How long we keep it

  • Server logs and the statistics derived from them: 180 days.
  • Correspondence that does not lead to an agreement: up to 12 months from the last message.
  • Records tied to a concluded agreement: for the term of the agreement and afterwards for the limitation and accounting periods required by Polish law.
06

Who else sees it

Very few parties, by design. The website, the logs and the statistics application all run on a physical server owned and operated by us, located in Poland. There is no CDN, no reverse proxy and no analytics provider in front of the site. Web fonts are served from our own server, so loading a page contacts no one but us.

The one external provider is OVH, which supplies our domain and the mailbox behind contact@wavestream.pl, and therefore handles the content of correspondence sent to us. Data may also be disclosed to public authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data and we do not pass it to advertising networks.

We do not transfer your data outside the European Economic Area. If that ever becomes necessary, it will be done under the safeguards required by Chapter V of the GDPR.

07

Automated decisions

Your data is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.

08

Your rights

  • Access to your data and a copy of it.
  • Rectification of data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Erasure, where the conditions in Art. 17 GDPR are met.
  • Restriction of processing.
  • Objection to processing based on our legitimate interest, on grounds relating to your particular situation.
  • Data portability, where processing is based on a contract and carried out by automated means.
  • A complaint to the supervisory authority — in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (PUODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw.

To exercise any of these, write to contact@wavestream.pl.
